Sargodha police arrested four suspects on Tuesday in connection with the murder of a seven-year-old girl whose body was found in a shop. The prime suspect, accused of trying to rape her before killing her, has been detained alongside two others.
Police have begun investigating all aspects of the case, including charges against the remaining suspect who had also been arrested. While DNA test results revealed a match with the prime suspect and he confessed to sexually assaulting and killing the girl, details about the fifth suspect remain undisclosed.
The arrests came after an FIR was registered by City Police in Sargodha based on a complaint from the girl’s father. Initial investigations show that she had gone to buy items at a kiryana store but did not return, prompting her father and others to search for her.
