Aleema Khan has filed a challenge before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to her brother, PTI founder Imran Khan, who is allegedly being held in solitary confinement. She describes his detention as unlawful and inhumane.
The petition names Adiala jail superintendent, the inspector general of prisons, NAB chairman, FIA director general, and Pims executive director as respondents. During a meeting on April 8th, it was revealed that Imran Khan has been kept in solitary confinement for 22 hours a day, with his wife Bushra Bibi allegedly confined to isolation for 24 hours.
The petition also alleges that no family members or PTI leadership have been allowed to meet him for the past six months. It argues that there was no judicial order authorizing solitary confinement as part of his sentence, making it unlawful.
Aleema claims her brother is being subjected to inhumane treatment and that he has lost significant vision due to prolonged solitary confinement. She requests the IHC to declare his alleged solitary confinement illegal and orders authorities to end the practice.
