During his time there, Sharif plans to convey condolences from the people and government of Pakistan and reaffirm solidarity with the Iranian leadership and bereaved families.
Following the funeral in Tehran, Sharif will visit Istanbul at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey. The purpose of this trip is to discuss bilateral relations and foster trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The visit also aims to address regional peace and security issues. PM Sharif plans to hold a business conference in Istanbul, inviting key Turkish businessmen and investors as well as senior officials for participation.
