The government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs6 per litre, bringing it down to Rs403.78 per litre from Rs409.78.
Additionally, the high-speed diesel (HSD) price was cut by Rs6.8, reaching Rs402.78 from Rs409.58.
This comes after a week of substantial price increases following the US-Israeli war on Iran. The government initially raised prices by Rs55 per litre and subsequently increased them further before reversing course with significant reductions in both petrol and HSD rates.
