Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to visit Pakistan on Tuesday, according to the Foreign Office (FO). During his trip, which has been invited by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pezeshkian will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including ministers and other senior officials. His delegation plans to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari and conduct talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The FO also announced that Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, and Deputy PM Ishaq Dar will extend a warm welcome to the visiting dignitary. Pezeshkian’s second visit as Iran’s President marks an important milestone in bilateral relations.
During his stay, both countries are expected to review their existing bilateral ties and explore new areas for cooperation, including trade, energy, border security, people-to-people interactions, and regional connectivity. The FO highlighted that the trip offers a significant opportunity to discuss ongoing diplomatic initiatives following the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
