Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district killed at least seven terrorists during a successful operation on Friday, according to security sources. The area has seen repeated incidents involving both civilians and local security forces amid increased militant activity.
Operation was conducted in the Ghora Baka Khel region of Banna Tehsil, with operatives using a quadcopter to locate a suspected vehicle carrying weapons and explosives. Upon receiving credible intelligence about the terrorist’s movement, they targeted the vehicle parked near a government school. The explosion caused by the attack completely destroyed the vehicle.
The security sources stated that all ‘seven to eight’ terrorists inside the car were killed instantly upon detonation of explosive devices carried aboard the vehicle. A thorough search and clearance operation is ongoing in the area to address potential threats, with investigations into further incidents also underway.
