Three security personnel lost their lives during an intense firefight following a terrorist assault on the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Camp in Karachi. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the operation to thwart the attack, which was carried out by terrorists linked to Jamaatul Ahrar, a supposed Indian proxy group, was successfully concluded.
The attackers attempted to breach the perimeter security of the Camp after detonating an explosive device at its main gate. Rangers troops swiftly responded and neutralized three terrorist operatives who were killed in action, with one being captured alive but in critical condition as an Afghan national. Injured soldiers number four.
ISPR emphasized that Pakistan would undertake retaliatory operations against those responsible for this attack to honor the fallen heroes’ sacrifices. Cleanup efforts have begun to ensure no other “Indian-sponsored” terrorists remain in the vicinity.
