A boat carrying tourists capsized at Saifullah Lake in the Kalam region of Upper Swat district, resulting in three fatalities and seven injuries. Rescue 1122 responded immediately upon receiving information about the accident.
Initial reports indicated several people were missing. However, as rescue efforts continued, it was confirmed that three individuals died while seven sustained injuries. The tourists aboard belonged to Punjab province. Rescue teams provided immediate medical assistance and transported the injured along with the deceased to Kalam Hospital for further treatment.
In a separate incident, a woman lost her life after being swept away by flash flood waters in Puran tehsil of Shangla district. She was accompanying her daughter who attempted to cross a rain-fed stream but was overwhelmed by the strong current. Local residents launched rescue efforts and managed to save the girl, while the woman’s body was recovered from the floodwaters.
