President Donald Trump and his cabinet members, meeting at the White House, highlighted their desire for progress on an Iran deal. While expressing dissatisfaction with the current terms, they believe a deal can still be reached within coming hours or days.
Cabinet member Marco Rubio emphasized that diplomacy remains Washington’s primary option in continuing efforts towards an agreement. He mentioned some progress has been made and assured there is “every chance” of reaching an accord.
US War Secretary Pete Hegseth stated the US could either continue negotiations or, should they fail, bring Iran to the table through diplomatic channels to finalize any deal reached.
