Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Qatari Emir recently conveyed their satisfaction with the “positive progress” achieved in the first round of technical talks between the United States and Iran. They agreed to maintain this momentum through continued dialogue and diplomacy.
Prioritizing peace efforts, PM Shehbaz also commended Qatar’s leadership for its supportive role. He expressed gratitude to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for condolences over a tragic incident involving a Pakistani national in the LNG complex fire.
The talks held under Pakistan and Qatar’s mediation included key direct discussions between US President Masoud Pezeshkian and Iran’s President. PM Shehbaz also acknowledged the significant support provided by Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt during these negotiations.
